We predominantly use borescope cameras when investigating internal water leaks and areas where the suspected source cannot be inspected directly.
Our engineers carefully insert the camera through an existing opening, access panel or, where necessary, a small purpose-made access hole. This allows us to inspect concealed pipework and surrounding building materials for visible signs of escaping water or damage.
Borescope cameras are often used alongside our other leak detection technologies. For example, another method may help us narrow down the suspected location before the camera is used to visually inspect the area and gather further evidence.

The camera needs an opening through which it can be inserted. Where no suitable access already exists, a small hole may need to be drilled or an access panel carefully created.
Limited viewing distance
A borescope is designed for relatively localised inspections and typically provides a useful view within approximately one metre of the access point.
Only identifies what the camera can see
A leak may be hidden behind insulation, structural elements or other obstructions, so a clear visual view is not always possible.
Doesn't detect every type of leak on its own
Borescope cameras provide visual information rather than detecting pressure loss, sound or moisture. Other technologies may therefore be needed to narrow down the source before using the camera.
